Sophie & Tristan, 2010

It seems like only a few months ago that we flew out to the beautiful island of Ko Lanta in Thailand for our good friends Sophie & Tristan's wedding.

The wedding party and guests took up residence at Narima Resort - it was a magical time in a magical place, the hosts went above and beyond to be incredibly warm, helpful and welcoming.

The ceremony took place on an unspoilt beach, a short long-tail boat ride down the coast.

It's been two and a bit years since and Sophie & Tristan are back in the UK after what looks like an amazing year living in Thailand.

In celebration of them coming back, we thought it'd be nice to revisit their wedding- one of the first we ever filmed.

Back to 1976

For Christmas last year I had the original super 8 film of my parent's wedding transfered to video and a did a little editing.

They were married in the legendary hot summer of '76, and right now I thought it'd be nice to see a little sunshine... and some 70's fashion.

Our first fair of 2012!

As you can see, we really enjoyed Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre on Sunday - so many lovely couples!



We were really impressed by the standard of the other exhibitors on show, particularly Pengelly Photography who as well as being lovely people, take truly breathtaking photos.

London Short Film Fest trailer

It's cold and it's dark - not ideal conditions for shooting weddings, but great for shutting yourself in a darkened room and doing some Super 8 animation...

I collaborated with my long-term directing buddy George Ancock to make this trailer for LSFF starring the lovely Strumpettes and produced by straight 8
